The Voluntary and Community Sector Strategy Forum is a partnership initiative between Camden Council and Voluntary Action Camden.
The Voluntary and Community Sector Strategy forum is the vehicle through which the voluntary and community sector and officers from Camden Council meet to discuss issues of strategic importance, share information and promote joint working between the Voluntary and Community Sector, the private sector and statutory bodies. The forum is designed to be flexible.
VAC jointly Chairs the Forum along with Camden Council. The Chairs have responsiblity for nominating invitees from the Voluntary and Community Sector and the Council. These nominees will vary depending on the subject matter, people’s interests and experience. At the latest meeting in November 2014 the focus was on Camden Council’s initial thoughts and key principles for the development of a future voluntary and community sector funding programme.
NB The Forum has not met since 2014. VAC is currently consulting with members about re-starting the Forum as a sector-led initiative.
