The Parenting Support Trial project was a project through which mums, dads and carers of children aged five and under were offered vouchers to access parenting support and classes.
Over 600 parents, including fathers, accessed the support. A small group of parents kept in touch and now meet every Wednesday as a support group in a local library.

Successful CANparent Road Shows in Camden!
VAC organised various Road Shows to promote the CANparent Scheme in Camden from July to September 2013. Over 1000 parents were reached during the Road Shows. Parents were very much interested in taking part in this scheme. Road Shows took place at:
- Kilburn Grange Park Festival
- Camden New Town Community Festival
- King’s Cross Festival (Coram’s Fields)
- Swiss Cottage Community Festival
- Talacre Leisure Centre
- Haverstock School, Celebrating Parents & Carers day
- Morrison Supermarket (Chalk Farm)
Updates on the CANparent Scheme: New Eligibility Changes!
Eligibility is extended to parents whose children of 0 – 5 attend schools/nurseries in Camden or who work in Camden, and parents of 6 year olds in Year 1 of schools in Camden.
Spouses, co-parents, partners, co-carers of eligible parents whose children attend school/nurseries in Camden or who work in Camden are also eligible.

There are thousands of £100 vouchers available to parents in Camden!
Mums, dads and other important carers of children aged five and under, living in Camden, will be offered a voucher worth £100 to pay for advice & parenting support including parenting classes.
VAC in collaboration with other partners on the Parenting Support Trial organised the CANparent Launch which took place on:

Time: 10am-12pm
Venue: Friends House, 173-177 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ
Over 100 delegates attended and the list of attendees comprised of community groups and organisations including parents and the CANparent Providers delivering services for parents in Camden.
The launch event had various speakers including, the Mayor of Camden, Cllr Heather Johnson, who formally launched the scheme. A speaker from Department for Education, Julia Gault, Head of Family Strategy and Engagement Division, provided more information about this scheme and added how this scheme will help the communities in Camden.
