Stigma and Mental Health – 1/2 Day (2nd November 2015)

Monday, November 2, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Are you a BMER group or working with BMER communities?  If YES then this training is targeted to you.

What does the session cover?

Mental health affects all of us in one way or another throughout our lives, yet for many it remains a taboo subject, shrouded in myths and stigma. This half-day session is designed to open up a discussion about how we can explore and break down stigma in relation to mental illness. Using various techniques including film, case studies and discussion, there will be a particular reference to stigma in South Asian communities.
