DESCRIPTION:In person training:The Crowndale Centre\, 218 Eversholt Street\, NW1 1BD\nMeeting Room 3.1\, 3rd Floor (Training and Development)\nDo you deliver services to children and young people and would like to understand more about how neurodivergent needs present in everyday settings? \nIf so\, this training session might offer your organisation some mindful and practical solutions; designed to help you build confidence in your understanding and support of neurodivergent children\, young people and their families. \nDelivered by Seats at the Table founder Richmal Maybank\, this training provides a clear\, engaging and compassionate introduction to neurodiversity; exploring how young people communicate\, learn\, process information and experience the world around them. \nTopics covered will include:\n\nUnderstanding neurodiversity and neurodivergent experiences.\nRecognising common signs of sensory needs\, overwhelm\, anxiety\, masking\, emotional regulation differences and communication needs.\nSupporting children\, young people and families without requiring disclosure or diagnosis.\nHaving supportive conversations with parents and carers.\nCreating more inclusive community spaces through practical adjustments.\nUnderstanding the experiences of families with complex or layered needs.\nCommunicating clearly and effectively with diverse communities.\n\nWhether you work in an after-school club\, supplementary education provision\, community group or family support service; this session provides realistic strategies that can help create a more inclusive\, accessible and supportive environment. \nNote for attendees: This training is not about diagnosing or becoming a specialist.
