Opens Monday 18 February until Sunday 31 March.
Bids to the fund must be made by partnerships of at least two bodies, which can include public sector bodies, schools, charities, voluntary and community organisations. Local young people will be among those joining the panels to assess applications, which can be made for projects running for one or two years under two categories:
• Under £5,000 per year (£10,000 total)
• £5,000 to £25,000 per year (£50,000 total).
This is the first of two opportunities to apply to the Youth Safety Fund, with another due in late 2019 / early 2020. The fund will help to act on the recommendations of the Youth Safety Taskforce, which called for a whole community approach to tackle youth violence.
