This volunteer had never had a job in an office. She volunteered at VAC for 1.5 years which helped her develop essential skills to help her in her search for paid employment, including skills in IT, admin and communication.
Len Lauk, local Camden resident, began volunteering with VAC in July 2013 to help with admin and ICT. Len quickly took on more roles and was soon instrumental in helping VAC to demonstrate impact through it’s case study programme. Here Len tells us why volunteering was so important for him and how it helped him secure paid work in a local Camden civil society organisation.
Peter Simonson, a local Camden resident, began volunteering with VAC in April 2014 on the volunteer Heath Advocacy Project. Here Peter tells us about the difference the project is making in the community, and how volunteering has helped him gain valuable skills in the public health field.
