OUR NEW TRAINING OFFER FOR MEMBERS

We have always worked hard to provide comprehensive training programmes for our members. In response to the latest feedback from our membership survey, we are pleased to launch our new training offer for members. This new offer gives VAC members exclusive access to the following training programmes:


  • Child safeguarding
  • Vulnerable adults safeguarding
  • Safer recruitment
  • Introduction to good governance
  • Effective communication
  • Volunteer management
  • Fire safety and building compliance, and much more!

All the sessions will be added on the calendar below so you can book yourself on. If you’re not a VAC member, please sign-up here.

Most of our training is free to VAC members, but we will have limited spaces so book ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Do you deliver services to children and young people and would like to understand more about how neurodivergent needs present in everyday settings?

If so, this training session might offer your organisation some mindful and practical solutions; designed to help you build confidence in your understanding and support of neurodivergent children, young people and their families.

Delivered by Seats at the Table founder Richmal Maybank, this training provides a clear, engaging and compassionate introduction to neurodiversity; exploring how young people communicate, learn, process information and experience the world around them.

All voluntary organisations, including supplementary education settings, Tenant Resident Associations (TRAs), and community groups who handle money; need careful financial management to ensure accountability and sustainability.

In these challenging times, having strategies for the long-term survival and growth of your organisation is essential. So, join us for this introductory managing money course, which aims to cover the finance essentials.

At the end of the session learners will gain an understanding of:

Managing money and Value for Money
Legal mismanagement and public funds.
Keeping accurate financial records.
Budgeting & cashflow
Monitoring costs.
