OUR NEW TRAINING OFFER FOR MEMBERS

We have always worked hard to provide comprehensive training programmes for our members. In response to the latest feedback from our membership survey, we are pleased to launch our new training offer for members. This new offer gives VAC members exclusive access to the following training programmes:


  • Child safeguarding
  • Vulnerable adults safeguarding
  • Safer recruitment
  • Introduction to good governance
  • Effective communication
  • Volunteer management
  • Fire safety and building compliance, and much more!

All the sessions will be added on the calendar below so you can book yourself on. If you’re not a VAC member, please sign-up here.

Most of our training is free to VAC members, but we will have limited spaces so book ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Camden Carers Service.

Have you ever wondered who cares for the carer?
Do they know they are a carer, and as a carer, have rights and are entitled to support?

If you engage with individuals who are looking after a friend or family member who couldn’t manage without their support, this person is providing an unpaid care service.
This could be because the person has a health condition, mental health condition, disability or is frail.

The National Lottery’s Awards for all funding programme is all about supporting these amazing community-led projects, offering funding from £300 to £20,000 to support projects for up to two years.

This will be a proactive and practical session that offers groups the essential guidance and support needed to submit a completed application form.

Face-to-face: Introduction to Safeguarding for new starters and volunteers.

This introductory course is designed for new starters and volunteers who work both directly and indirectly with organisations or groups delivering services to children, young people and their families in Camden. This session is free for all those who live or work in Camden and have had little or no safeguarding training before.
