A hands-on approach to choosing and setting up a CRM
Tuesday, September 22 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Many voluntary and community sector organisations often store important data in a number of different locations, usually across a variety of different spreadsheets. Quite often, there is no single view of the organisation’s data, which makes it difficult, not only to find information, but also to use information effectively to understand how the group is meeting its objectives, and how it can learn from that data to improve services and outcomes for its members. There may be duplication across systems and staff time can often be better spent focusing on operations if the internal data systems were better structured to support the organisation’s work.
Purpose of this Session
This two-hour online workshop will introduce you to the concept of using a CRM system and database to record and manage your work. We will show you how to assess your requirements for a new system, and what you need to think about before you embark on such a project. Delegates will come away with working templates of a requirements specification and a scoring mechanism. These can be used to appraise the various CRM systems in the market or evaluate your existing in-house systems and databases.
We will cover:
- What is a CRM and why use one
- Review requirements: processes, data and priorities;
- Demos of different CRM systems
- Review specifications sheet and scoring sheet
- What are your options?
Delegates will come away with an understanding of:
- How a CRM system can be used to gather and record information about the work of the group
- The main considerations for choosing any system
- Using evaluation templates
- The different CRM systems options available
We have put together a list of CRM requirements we think are common to many community groups and organisations. Prior to the workshop please review these requirements to check against your own needs. We will mock up a live demo based on these examples. Please let us know if these requirements broadly align to your own needs. If you want a pre-workshop session to discuss your requirements in more detail then to get in touch with email@example.com.
The workshop will be held on Zoom. Joining instructions will be sent prior to the event.
