In partnership with The Safeguarding Foundation, VAC invite members to this face-to-face workshop, designed to raise awareness and understanding of the potential risks faced by woman and girls.
The session will cover a walkthrough of cases covered in the news and include simple and effective techniques to reduce risk, prevent harm and defend oneself against assault.
Topics covered include:
- A Case Review of the Sarah Everard – abduction and policing.
- A Case Review of Sabrina Nassa – how to avoid leaving yourself vulnerable.
- Police Powers – stop and search & your legal rights.
- Mobile phone safety.
- Street safety / General safety.
- Stalking and how to identify a stalker.
- Keeping safe & reporting.
Who should attend:
Essential knowledge for all, but especially beneficial for VCS organisations / groups delivering services to women and girls in Camden.
Important note to members:
- This session is externally funded and open to VAC members only.
- If you have purchased a free ticket and are unable to attend, please pass your place onto another member of your organisation.

- VAC reserve the right to charge a £25 no-show penalty to member organisations for non-attendance.
