Introduction to Safeguarding for TrusteesWednesday 30th June: 1pm – 2.30pm . (Virtual Training – Zoom)
The Charity Commission for England and Wales states that “safeguarding should be a key governance priority for all charity trustees”.
Are you fulfilling your responsibilities as a trustee?
Are you and the trustees in your organisation meeting the Charity Commission’s legal safeguarding expectations?
Every organisation that delivers charitable activities has a duty to safeguard volunteers, staff members, and participants; so there has never been a better time to make sure your organisation is doing all it can to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults at risk.
This virtual introduction session is free for all trustees delivering services to children and vulnerable adults in Camden and is designed to help you check that your organisation is doing safeguarding well.
This session will cover:
How to understand, review and manage the safeguarding arrangements in your organisation.
Ensure your charity is meeting its legal ‘safeguarding duty of care’.
Overview of the Charity Commission’s Six Key Areas of Activity.
