Thursday 27th June, 1pm- 2pm.
Online Zoom Session.
Did you know that 26% of 11-17 year olds have spent their own money on gambling in the last 12 months?
Did you also know that a higher proportion of young people spend their own money on gambling than those who spend their own money on smoking, vaping or drugs?
Ygam is an award-winning charity with a mission to prevent children and young people from experiencing gaming and gambling harms through awareness raising, education and research.
So why aren’t we talking about it?
The digital world can pose a whole host of dangers to young people and for those who are responsible for their care.
Therefore, it is imperative that adults acquire the appropriate skills and knowledge to safeguard them in the right way.
As professionals working with young people, you play a vital role in addressing the growing public health challenges of gaming and gambling harms.
This Ygam awareness session will introduce you to the scale of the problem and what Ygam can do to support you in safeguarding young people against gaming and gambling harms.
Join our awareness session to learn more about the importance of safeguarding young people against gaming and gambling harms, gain access to free tools and support that Ygam can provide your organisation.
Together, we can safeguard our digital generation and make a real difference in the lives of the young people we support.
