GREEN SOCIAL PRESCRIBING
Green Social Prescribing
VAC is working with Camden and Islington Parks and Public Health to develop ‘Green Social Prescribing’ in the borough of Camden. The initiative is part of a wider ‘Parks for Health’ Programme to encourage and promote a range of activities that support health in our local parks and green spaces.
The Community Links Team at VAC can:
- Take referrals for Green Social Prescribing activities.
- Help to advise residents and health services on the best activities for their needs.
- Help residents connect with outdoor activities that will support their health and wellbeing.

VAC recruits and trains Community Links Volunteers to work with local GP practices promoting community based health and well-being services.

A network to bring together all the groups and organisations involved in Social Prescribing in Camden to learn, share ideas and challenges.
