It is with great sadness that all of us at VAC say farewell to Efua Taylor who passed away on the 15th December 2018.
Efua was a great supporter of the voluntary and community sector in Camden. For many years she worked for the African and Caribbean Elders, a voluntary organisation based in Abbey Road. Efua had a keen interest in health and social care and played a very active role in championing the provision of social and health care services in the borough, including being a member of the Camden Primary Care Trust for a number of years.
Efua was also a trustee and Chair of Voluntary Action Camden for a number of years. It was Efua’s vision for the creation of a voluntary and community sector hub of activity, learning and networking that was instrumental in VAC securing and moving to new premises in Kentish Town over twenty years ago.
Above all Efua was a very generous and supportive colleague who would never let you down. She was always calm and thoughtful and always there to provide support and advice when you most needed it.
Thank you Efua.
Efua’s funeral service will take place in Accra on 1st February.
