We have always worked hard to provide comprehensive training programmes for our members. In response to the latest feedback from our membership survey, we are pleased to launch our new training offer for members. This new offer gives VAC members exclusive access to the following training programmes:

Most of our training is free to VAC members, but we will have limited spaces so book ASAP to avoid disappointment.

With a combination of written text, case studies and video presentations, this workshop will cover:
What is Safeguarding?
Types of abuse / recognising the signs.
Passing on information
Signposting and Support in Camden.
Suitable for volunteers, new starters and all those with little or no safeguarding training.
The session will also cover:
The importance of safe recruitment in voluntary organisations.
What to consider when preparing to recruit.
Selecting the right people.
Safeguarding and remaining vigilant.
So, join us for a morning of safeguarding discussion, protective cultures and policy review.
The session will cover how social prescribing can:
Improve mental and physical health.
Increase social connectedness and reduced isolation.
Enhanced sense of well-being and quality of life, health and well-being.
Offer volunteering opportunities and signpost to services.
This is a great opportunity to network and to meet our esteemed guest speaker, the CEO of DSC Debra Allcock Tyler.
Debra Alcock Tyler has worked in the charitable and voluntary sector for nearly 40 years; she has served as a trustee of several charities including being the co-founder of the Small Charities Coalition and was its first Chair. She served on the Charity Commission's SORP committee for over 7 years and is an internationally published author of several books on management and leadership including It's a Battle on the Board.
