Working in the community with local residents, their children and families requires both passion and purpose.
However, with so much change and uncertainty in the world today, challenging situations naturally arise.
Whether you’re supporting service users, collaborating with partners, or navigating internal team dynamics, knowing how to manage conflict successfully is an essential skill.
Designed specifically for voluntary sector organisations, volunteers, community groups and supplementary educational settings, this session aims to help you build healthier working relationships that support more effectively service delivery.
The session will cover:
- Practical conflict resolution techniques.
- Strategies for de-escalating tension in sensitive or emotionally charged situations
- Tools to support clear communication, active listening, and boundary-setting
- Increased confidence in handling disagreements within teams or with service users
- A deeper understanding of personal triggers and conflict styles
When staff and volunteers feel equipped to do their jobs well, services run more smoothly and community’s benefit.

- Places for this session are extremely limited and open to VAC members and voluntary organisations / groups delivering services in Camden only.
- All ticket registrations will be verified, and non-attendees may be restricted from attending future VAC training and events.
