Face-to-Face: Introduction to Safeguarding (Under 25’s)
Wednesday 11th February: 10am – 12:30pm
Introduction to Safeguarding (Under 25’s)
In Person training: Crowndale Centre, 218 Eversholt St, NW1 1BD
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility!
Even if you don’t have direct contact with the children and young people in your organisation, we all play a part in helping to keep children safe.
If you are a new group, community organisation, supplementary educational setting, or volunteer thinking about working with children and young people; this session will provide you with the essential safeguarding knowledge required for a level 1 qualification equivalent.
We discuss the four common types of harm and how to recognise when something isn’t right, as well what to do if you are concerned about a child or young person in your care.
With a combination of written text, case studies and video presentations, this introduction session will help you to feel confident in your safeguarding responsibilities.
This workshop will cover:
- What is Safeguarding?
- Types of abuse / recognising the signs.
- Passing on information.
- Signposting and Support in Camden.
Who should attend: Suitable for all those with little or no child safeguarding knowledge or experience; organisations, groups, volunteers or members of the community delivering services to under 25’s in Camden.
Notes for members: Places for this session are extremely limited and open to VAC members and voluntary organisations / groups delivering services in Camden only.
