Introduction to Safer recruitment for non-education and voluntary settings.
Tuesday 24th June: 10am – 12:00pm.
In Person training: The Crowndale Centre, Training Room 2, 218 Eversholt St, NW1 1BD
Are you responsibility for hiring or supervising new staff members or volunteers in your organisation or community group?
It is essential that all those with recruitment responsibilities understand how to keep children and young people safe, if you are delivering services to under 18’s in Camden.
This introductory Safer Recruitment session will help organisations think about what current policies they have in place, and how to do things better.
As well as help those responsible for recruitment, to assess if applicants share the same child protective attitudes and values that you do.
The session will cover:
- The importance of safe recruitment in voluntary organisations.
- What to consider when preparing to recruit.
- Selecting the right people.
- Safeguarding and remaining vigilant.
The process begins with a detailed and considered safer recruitment plan, with safeguarding children and young people at the centre.
So, join us for a morning of safeguarding discussion and policy review.
