Online: Men and Boys: Personal Safety Awareness.

Thursday 29th January 2026: 10am – 12.00pm

Online Zoom

Men and boys can be victims too, yet many say they feel unsure how to seek help, or how to step in safely as active bystanders.

This Men & Boys Personal Safety Awareness workshop acknowledges a reality often overlooked; that men and boys also experience harm, pressure, and the anxiety of intervening in potentially unsafe situations.

Delivered by John Bayley at The Safeguarding Foundation, the session aims to empower participants with the practical tools to recognise risk, protect themselves, and support others without putting themselves in harm’s way. With practical strategies for staying safe and knowing when and how to intervene safety, participants learn that strength isn’t about risk-taking, but about awareness, respect, and making safe, confident choices.

The session will cover:

  • Understanding Risk for Men & Boys.
  • Situational Awareness & Street-Smart Thinking.
  • De-escalation & Conflict Avoidance.
  • Bystander Intervention & Protecting Others

Who should attend: Suitable for all however not recommended for those under the age of 16 years of age.
