This introductory session aims to give learners an introduction to adult safeguarding, with a focus on preventing abuse and ensuring safety and well-being.

Using group discussions and real-life case studies, Helen Onslow; a Lead Practitioner in Camden’s Adult Social Care team will cover all safeguarding essentials.

This face-to-face session provides learners with essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively safeguarding children and young people.

Designed for volunteers, new starters and those with no previous safeguarding training; this course introduces the four types of abuse, how to recognise the signs, and what to do if you see or hear something that isn’t right.

It is essential that all those with recruitment responsibilities understand how to keep children and young people safe, if you are delivering services to under 18’s in Camden.

This introductory Safer Recruitment session will help organisations think about what current policies they have in place, and how to do things better.

As well as help those responsible for recruitment, to assess if applicants share the same child protective attitudes and values that you do.
