Strike action by junior doctors from today until Tuesday 15th August is likely to see appointments disrupted. Please attend your booked appointments unless you are told otherwise.
If you need medical help, please use NHS services wisely to make sure care is
available to those who need it most, and please make sure you have enough of any medication you or your family need. Your local pharmacist can advise on common conditions and you can find your nearest one at
NHS.uk
GP practices will continue to be open.
If you have a health concern that is not life-threatening, support is available at NHS111 online or by phoning NHS 111.
If it is a life-threatening emergency such as serious illness or injury, you should still call 999
Ebikes and Scooters – Safety Advice from the London Fire Brigade
The Council has been working with the London Fire Brigade to make sure that residents know about the risks of charging and storing ebikes and scooters in their homes and the communal areas of their buildings.
To this end they have a video with LFB Commander David George talking about the subject on the Council website, which you can find here
Moving On to Secondary School event for parents

If so, Camden’s free ‘Moving On to Secondary School’ event at the Francis Crick Institute, King’s Cross, is happening on Thursday 21st September.

Camden Community Partner Fund 2024 to 2031
The deadline to submit a completed Expression of Interest form is 12 noon on Wednesday 20th September
The Fund is for Camden organisations who are deeply rooted in their communities and will provide unrestricted funding for seven years from April 2024 to March 2031.

‘New Met for London’ Community Engagement Event – Camden
The Metropolitan Police are launching their ‘New Met for London’ strategy and would like to host a community discussion about it following publication.
The event will take place at the Crowndale Centre, 218 Eversholt St, London, NW1 1BD on Tuesday 5th September between 5.30 – 9pm.
There will be a presentation about the plan, an opportunity to meet and discuss this with senior leaders serving you in Camden and an opportunity to meet new networks across the borough.

Independent Police Advisor roles in Camden
The Metropolitan Police are looking for volunteers over 18 who live, work or study in Camden to join the Independent Advisory Group (IAG) to provide them with independent advice.
No specific training or background is required, just your life experiences, knowledge and willingness to express a constructively expressed opinion.
There are 4-6 meetings of the IAG per year.

The British Institute of Human Rights community programme launch event
15th August: 10.30am (online)
The British Institute of Human Rights are launching the next phase of our community programme where we are looking to support community and voluntary groups to use the Human Rights Act to create positive change in the lives of people they support.
In this phase of the project, we are looking for groups to work with us to co-design a human rights “solution” to problems or issues they face.
The programme is funded by the Baring Foundation so it is free for community groups to take part. We will be selecting up to 5 to work with over 6 months.
The launch event and is a chance to learn a bit about our Human Rights Act and find out how to apply.
