About the Fund

Achieving a net zero carbon Camden by 2030 will require everyone living and working in Camden to play their part. To help enable communities to kickstart local climate action, the Camden Climate Fund is offering up to £5,000 for projects that can demonstrate carbon savings and community benefit. Examples of projects may include a tree planting scheme or a local communications campaign focused on behavioural change. Camden encourages local communities to be creative in their applications and will consider a breadth of projects providing a carbon saving can be demonstrated.

Youth Social Action Projects – Camden Youth Council

About the Fund

The Camden Youth Council is offering grants of up to £5,000 to fund projects that address important issues for local young people. The council has allocated £20,000 to support youth-led initiatives focused on making Camden safer, improving the local environment, and helping young people develop essential life skills like finding employment and managing finances. The grants are open to young people aged 12 to 19, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs or disabilities, who reside, work, or study in Camden.

The Span Trust Funding

About the Fund

The Span Trust seeks to fund projects by awarding grants between £5,000 and £20,000 that will alleviate poverty, disability, age or ill health, and advance urban regeneration through the improvement of the built environment. We offer grants to both registered and exempt charities.

Application Deadline

The Trust accepts applications twice annually

Loan Funding for London Community Housing Renovation Projects

About the Fund

Community groups, public, and private landowners in England, Scotland, and Wales can apply for funding to develop or scale-up rewilding projects on land or at sea.

Rewilding Britain is offering grants of up to £15,000 to help foster new and ambitious rewilding projects, or scale-up pre-existing projects, across Britain. The Rewilding Innovation Fund will support rewilding projects on land and at sea, at a scale of more than 40 hectares, that adhere to Rewilding Britain’s rewilding principles.

Together for our planet – The National Lottery Community Fund

About the Fund

We’re offering from £1,000 to £10,000 of National Lottery funding to support communities across the UK to take action on climate change.

Projects should reflect what matters to your community and can be small in scale. They could cover an area like:

  • food
  • transport
  • energy
  • waste and consumption
  • the natural environment

Postcode Dream Fund Opens for Applications for Funding Starting in 2022

About the Fund

The Dream Fund was created to encourage charities in Great Britain to collaborate so that they can deliver their dream project.

The themes change each year. The current themes are:

  • Environmental Systems Change – this theme is looking for collaborative and innovative projects that develop long term solutions to systemic environmental problems. Areas of interest include projects that challenge environmental degradation, in particular focusing on biodiversity and species preservation.
  • Social Inequality– this theme is looking for projects take systematic approaches to addressing the root causes of social inequality. Successful projects will be able to demonstrate how they will promote the social inclusion of groups that are disadvantaged or excluded from society. Potential areas of interest include early childhood development and educational attainment.
  • Pandemic recovery – this theme is looking for projects that will support society to o recover from the effects of the pandemic. Potential areas of interest include loneliness and social isolation, health and wellbeing, domestic violence and support for neglected groups who have suffered disproportionately during the pandemic.

Application Deadline

Stage 1 applications will be accepted from 1 October 2021 to 1 November 2021 (5:30pm).

£270m Green Heat Network Fund Launches in Spring 2022

About the Fund

The new £270 million Green Heat Network Fund, announced by the government today (Tuesday, 7 September), will only support low-carbon technologies like heat pumps, solar and geothermal energy in the roll out of the next generation of heat networks which will enable more towns and cities to take up this tried and tested technology from 2022.

Application Deadline

It will be open to public, private and third sector applicants in England, will open for applications in April 2022 and is anticipated to run to 2025.
