Introduction to Safer Recruitment: for Small Orgs and Community Groups

February 1 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

About

Safer recruitment procedures are an essential part of safeguarding in any voluntary organisation or community group.

It is essential that all those delivering services to under 18’s or vulnerable people in the borough have rigorous safer recruitment procedures at the heart of their organisation. Such practices help to ensure staff and volunteers are suitable to work and all understand the vital part they play in creating a positive environment that keeps everyone safe from harm.

If you are responsible for selecting and recruiting volunteers, employed workers, teachers or coaches for positions that come into contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults; then come along to this session and find out how you can ensure you are doing all you can to keep service users safe.

Who should attend

Essential knowledge for managers, senior workers and leadership teams, permanent workers and volunteers who work with children and young people in the borough.
