Face to Face: Introduction to Safeguarding: Protecting Children in the Community.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, regardless of your job role, how frequently you work with children, or how often you interact with young people and their families.
If you work, support or volunteer for an organisations or group delivering services to children, young people or their families in Camden; you have a vital part to play in keeping them safe.
This face-to-face session provides learners with essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively safeguarding children and young people.
Designed for volunteers, new starters and those with no previous safeguarding training; this course introduces the four types of abuse, how to recognise the signs, and what to do if you see or hear something that isn’t right.
Face-to face: Introduction to Safeguarding Adults.
Protecting an adult's right to live in safety, free from abuse, neglect, or exploitation is just as important as protecting the rights of children.
This introductory session aims to give learners an introduction to adult safeguarding, with a focus on preventing abuse and ensuring safety and well-being.
Using group discussions and real-life case studies, Helen Onslow; a Lead Practitioner in Camden’s Adult Social Care team will cover all safeguarding essentials.
Online: Introduction to marketing, communications & social media: Voluntary and community organisations.
The session will cover:
Developing a clear communication strategy.
Creating engaging and eye-catching content.
Independently overseeing all communications.
Utilising digital platforms and social media.

Introduction to Social Prescribing: Non-clinical, community-based health and well-being.
The session will cover how social prescribing can:

Offer volunteering opportunities and signpost to services.
