VAC has recently moved to a new home at Charlie Ratchford Centre, Belmont Street, NW1. We are sharing the building with Camden Carers and Camden Disability Action. It is a very busy building with lots of visitors and events.
We are recruiting volunteer receptionists to be the first point of contact for visitors. I You will be an important member of the VAC team of volunteers and staff and will have access to training and ongoing support.

Castlehaven Community Association seeks Chief Executive Officer
The current Chief Executive Officer is retiring in April 2019. The new CEO will have significant experience in leading a complex multi-facetted charity. The new postholder will provide leadership and be responsible for the organisation’s staff, facilities, administration and financial management. You will work closely with the board of trustees to develop the organisation’s long-term strategy, budget and business plan and ensure it complies with the law and regulations.

Elfrida Rathbone Camden seeks Work Experience Support Volunteers
To accompany students from The Leighton College on their weekly work placement. Students typically spend two or three hours a week at their work placement, which can be in a shop, café, garden centre, office or other local venue. We are looking for volunteers who like working with young people to offer a minimum of a half-day a week to supporting a student at their work experience placement. Experience of learning disabilities and/or education would be an advantage but is not essential.

Age UK Camden seeks Care Navigation/Social Prescribing Manager

Volunteer with VAC and develop experience and skills in public health
VAC provide training, and work opportunities for Camden volunteers who can commit 2 hours per week.
Voluntary Action Camden (VAC) is offering free Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) training to volunteer Health Advocates for Community Links, part of a new Care Navigation and Social Prescribing service in Camden. Community Links Health Advocates signpost residents to community based activities and help with formal referrals where community based activities are needed alongside clinical care.
Volunteers will have access to other health related training, and will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team that meets monthly to develop the service and explore health related issues. After 3 months, active volunteers will have opportunities to take up occasional paid sessional work alongside volunteering.
Placements are in GP practices and other community locations. In return for your commitment to the project, we offer support, out of pocket expenses and other professional development opportunities.
