Re-opening Community Buildings Resources

View the video, presentation and resources from the follow up workshop with Locality on Wednesday on the VAC website including useful clarification around the new rules for the NHS QR codes that now have to be displayed by certain venues. Community centres are currently not included in the list of venues that must use the NHS QR code but can choose to or use another system (see Time to Spare item below). Further #BuildBackBetter resources are here.

QR track and trace

Time to Spare’s free (for charities and community groups) track and trace system helps you collect details of visitors in a safe and secure way. Once you’ve signed up, you can print out QR codes for your location, as well as specific QR codes for different activities you run. Visitors sign in by scanning the QR codes, but if they don’t have a smartphone, your staff can add their information directly. If you have regular members, you can also print out membership cards/stickers for everyone. You can then use a cheap webcam attached to a computer as a barcode scanner like you have at airport boarding gates.  Sign up here: Use live chat on the website for queries.
