CDA are recruiting 6 new Disabled trustees to join the CDA Board.
CDA Trustees help shape the work and plan for our future. CDA is run by Disabled for Disabled people and it is essential that at least 75% of the Board is made up of Disabled people.
• The role of Trustee is unpaid, and the minimum expectation is that you attend 5 meetings a year.
• New trustees will receive training and 1 to 1 support from other Board members.
• It is also important that you live in the London Brough of Camden.
• We are particularly keen to get more Disabled Women on our Board and more Disabled people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
When we say Disabled people, we mean the full spectrum of health, impairment, and difference. This includes people with mental illness, those with learning difficulties, people with physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments, including those who experience Disability through the effects of ageing. Kilburn Older Voices Exchange (KOVE) seeks treasurer
KOVE, a longstanding local community action group for older people based in Kilburn and West Hampstead, is looking for a treasurer. This voluntary role will not require bookkeeping, but some involvement in planning the annual budget with the Chair and Administrator, plus some routine financial tasks and reporting to five Steering Group meetings per year. Experience of working or volunteering in finance or budget management would be helpful. The Sherriff Centre seeks Trustee
The Sherriff Centre, a not for profit organisation based in West Hampstead, NW6 are looking to recruit an experienced building projects professional to join the board of trustees.
Based in a church which is listed and with large scale building projects to undertake in 2021 and looking for some expertise to lead on this. This is a voluntary trustee position and meetings take place every 2 months, currently via Zoom. Interested candidates should be available in addition to the regular meetings to oversee building works.
Experience of overseeing and managing large scale building works, liaising with contractors and working to budgets would be essential experience.

Researcher – Invitation to Tender
Research on the development and impact of a BAME-led partnership for tackling social isolation among older people in Camden.
We would like to appoint an experienced qualitative researcher to examine the development and impact of the BAME-led partnership. We are actively seeking applications from researchers of African heritage and/or with substantial cultural understanding of African minority groups in the UK to carry out the work.
The budget is £20k. The research will be carried out between late March and early November.
